MIT – e2i EVENT: GOVERNMENT FUNDING SCHEMES FOR SMEs

As part of our effort to help our tenants to keep abreast of market changes, Mapletree and e2i jointly organized an SME outreach event for our tenants on 17th September 2013. This event took place at e2i’s new campus in Jurong East.

During the event, various talks were given on how to tap into funding schemes and available grant support. e2i introduced the 3P’s all SMEs should be actively improving, namely, Placement, Professional Development and Productivity. The presentation zoomed in to some of the schemes which can assist SMEs in their bid to improve the 3P’s.

The event was a success. Participating MIT tenants gained knowledge and access to training providers and funding. While e2i took the opportunity to extend their outreach to SMEs; encouraging them to bring their employment needs, training plans, productivity challenges to e2i.

Besides helping businesses in their learning journey to fuel growth and enhance productivity, MIT gained a deeper understanding of SME manufacturers — enabling it to better position and develop specialised infrastructure solutions for its diversified and broad-based tenants.
